"I have always wanted to teach golf in a classroom setting. I hope to use the captive audience to bring understanding through the use of many of those things utilized in college courses. Discussion, questioning and testing about the game of golf, as well as building a method, are the goals."


Who is this class for? advanced, competitive, golfers of all levels

Why should I bother? If you have always wanted to build your golf method and leave no stone unturned in getting all of your questions answered, then this classroom setting should benefit you greatly. You can also make good use of your winter.

How will this class work? Through the use of: note taking, illustration, video, demonstration

Where will it take place? Tee-Time Golf Complex--Call 473-2010- for reservations or questions

When will the class take place? Feb 12 thru Mar 8, 2007. Classes meet 1 - 1 1/2 hour/week for 4 weeks (min 4-6 hours of instruction) on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7:00PM

What is the cost? $85---Four class sessions & One textbook ( The Driven Golfer--Building Your Method For Scratch Golf)

MECHANICS: What do most great golfers do?
-building a total package
-understanding equipment
-physical capabilities (body type- can I do that?)
-what "SWINGING" means


THE GOLF COURSE: Taking it from the range to the course
-shot pattern
-playing to your strengths
-club selection and reading lies
-Bad start to the round (regrouping and troubleshooting)
-Good start to the round (staying focused on the present)
-Finishing strong (physical and mental conditioning)


PREPARING TO PLAY:
-A COURSE:
-what clubs do I need?
-what shots are required?
-"playing" it in practice

-A TOURNAMENT: the "P's"
-purpose of mind and method
-practice efficiently
-preparation
-patience
-percentages
-perception
-pride
